What to Look Forward to This Spring with Hannah from Alabama
You guys also sick of winter? About had it with the cold and the dreariness? Me too, guys, me too. There are some signs of the season changing, though— which has both soothed and created a severe sense of longing— like the sun staying up past 5PM, not every night dropping into the low 20s and I have even personally spotted some tulip and daffodil sprouts breaking through the gardens. It’s not much, but it’s something. And it has me counting down the days until Spring returns— which, by the way, is currently 34 days away.
So what do we have to look forward to with Hannah from Alabama this spring season? So much, my friends.
Vintage Kite Mini Sessions, March 28th & 29th
Cue “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” from Mary Poppins.
Let's chase the light and capture the magic!
These Vintage Kite Sessions are all about nostalgia-- barefoot kids running through the soft grass, the kind of joy you can feel in the photos. Let's foster a familiar scene (think soft linen, ribbon tailed kites, golden hour light, gingham accents + some fresh spring fruit) and I'll guide your family into those easy, unposed moments that tell your story best.
Whether it's your little one's first time flying a kite or a throwback to your own childhood spring days, these sessions are meant to feel like a memory you can hold.
Perfect for families who love candid, sun-soaked photos and want something a little whimsical and full of heart.
These minis are taking place over two days at the end of March:
Saturday, March 28th at Sharon Johnston Park in New Market (a favorite for their grassy hills + romantic pond setting)
Sunday, March 29th at Ditto Landing in Southeast Huntsville (another one of my favorites for it’s sweeping view of the Tennessee River and it’s grassy banks usually sprinkled with white wildflowers)
Spots are limited with only 3 of these sessions remaining. Book yours today!
Let Them Be Little, Motherhood Studio Sessions
The days are long, but the years are short.
The days of dress up and tea parties and pretend play fly by in a blink.
Let’s keep the memories.
These Motherhood mini sessions are a casual, approachable & nostalgic spin on studio sessions! These playful minis are designed to be minimalistic (bright, crisp studio) so that we can focus on the connection and dynamic between mama and her babies. These sessions are play-based and quick with an emphasis on capturing the everyday magic of childhood.
Let's dress up and play! Whimsical capes, hats & play tent provided.
The studio is in Madison, Alabama and these minis will be held on the morning of Saturday, April 11th.
Only 4 spots available, secure yours!
Motherhood Mini Sessions in North Alabama
Mamas, step in the frame!
Let's celebrate the magic of motherhood in gorgeous landscapes around Madison County, North Alabama. We'll encourage play and connection with a handful of nostalgic + spring inspired activities-- expect fresh fruit, soft fabrics, pastel blooms and perhaps some paper airplanes to make it lively.
Three of my absolute favorite locations on three different dates:
May 1st at Hayes Meadows, Owens Crossroads (think long grasses in soft greens, pockets of dainty wildflowers)
May 2nd at Ditto Landing, SE Huntsville (pond views for skipping some rocks, climbing some trees and running in the meadows)
May 22nd at Alderidge Creek, SE Huntsville (overgrown fields overlooking the creek where we can hop across on the rocks and dip our toes in the water)
Motherhood Mini Sessions on the West Coast!
Give yourself (or your lady) the gift of tangible memories.
I’m headed back to San Luis Obispo County this spring for a quick trip and am so excited to open up a handful of motherhood mini sessions for my west coast mamas! Much like my Motherhood Minis in Huntsville, these motherhood sessions will incorporate fresh fruit, soft linens and dainty florals against some beautiful quintessential central coast backdrops. We will also have some paper on hand for airplane making to keep things lively and nostalgic.
There’s three locations over two days:
May 16th at Bishop’s Peak Oak Grove, San Luis Obispo (soft greens + golden grasses with mossy boulders to explore)
May 16th at Morro Rock Dunes, Morro Bay (dunes covered in long grasses with a sweeping view of Morro Rock during golden hour)
May 17th at the Village, Arroyo Grande (quaint and charming cottage + picked fence with gardens backdrops)
Only 10 sessions left, let’s get you on the calendar!
Clothesline x Creek Sessions
My two favorite concepts smashed into one!
These sessions are inspired by the kind of memories that live in your bones-- bare feet in the grass, kids trailing behind you, and the laundry hanging in the sun like it's always been there.
In the creek, we'll use a simple clothesline strung up near the water, with soft linens and everyday textures that feel lived-in and nostalgic. It's less about the setup and more about what happens around it-- pinning fabric together, kids weaving in and out, hands busy while hearts stay present.
These mini sessions are relaxed, playful, and deeply connected. Your kids can explore the creek, splash a little, tug on the clothespins, or curl up in your arms while the light does its thing. I'll guide when needed, but mostly I'll let the moments unfold naturally-- documenting the good stuff.
Perfect for families or couples-- really for anyone that wants photos that feel like a memory.
I’m offering these for the evening of June 13th only and there are just 4 spots left! Secure your spot!
Don’t see what you’re looking for this spring? There is still a handful of openings between March-June for stand alone family sessions— although weekend dates are filling up quickly! If you’d like more time this spring as well as a concept or location more specific to your family (including for SLO County in mid May!), let’s connect and get you penciled in!
