A lot of times you’ll see articles and blogs telling you a maternity session should be scheduled between 30-34 weeks. It doesn’t have to be! Wanna announce your pregnancy with photos? Wanna take advantage of the second trimester boost in energy? The biggest thing is whether or not the mama feels good— if she feels good, then it’s the perfect timing.

At home newborn sessions are the name of the game. There’s no hustle and bustle to get out the door, no worrying you’ve forgotten a crucial piece of baby gear, no anxiety about figuring out if you’ve pumped enough or packed enough or will have time and a place to sit to breastfeed. I literally come to your house, where you’re the most comfortable and where you have everything you need for the earliest days of parenthood and we take it easy.
Newborn sessions should be penciled into the schedule 2-3 months before your estimated due date.
fresh 48
Fresh 48 Sessions are documentary in nature and are designed to help preserve those first few moments with your newest family member. These sessions happen within the first few days following birth, either in the hospital or at home.
It’s a good idea to get a Fresh 48 session penciled into the schedule 2-3 months before your estimated due date.
family
Whether it’s celebrating milestones or doing the yearly family-photo update, play is highly encouraged. The more family members play and interact with each other, the more natural and real the photographs are going to be.
Movement and prompts are used as opposed to having everyone stay really still and smile directly into the camera.
Depending on the time of year, availability can vary greatly, so it is best to connect and check the calendar at the very least a month in advance from when you’d like the portraits taken.

First thing’s first: once you know which session best suits your needs, the next step is getting on the calendar.
To secure your session on the calendar, a portrait photography contract needs to be signed and a nonrefundable retainer must be placed.
